After careful consideration, the RNEA Representative Assembly, upon the recommendation of the RNEA Executive Board, has voted to approve the endorsement of Rockwood Proposition 3, which will be on the ballot November 7.

This is a NO-Tax-Increase Levy Transfer. In simple terms, Rockwood is simply asking the voters to approve reallocating towards the Capital Fund some of the tax levy that was going to Debt Service. There will be NO net change to Rockwood’s total tax rate.

When fully implemented, Rockwood projects that this move will mean up to $27 million dollars annually for the Capital Fund, without incurring more bond interest, that can be used for capital improvements in the areas of Safety, Technology, and Facilities.
